Dr. Perez offers Psychotherapy, Assessment and Consultation services in both Spanish and English, and is committed to work with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Cognitive Behavior Thearapy (CBT)

is a psychosocial intervention that is the most widely used evidence-based treatment for mental health conditions (i.e., depression, anxiety, etc.). CBT focuses on the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems, changing unhelpful patterns, thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and emotional regulation.  

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR): is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes the role of distressing memories in mental health disorders, particularly post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is an evidence-based therapy used to treat trauma and PTSD in adults, adolescents and children.

Immigration Reltated Services

Comprehensively and objectively assess the psychological impact to a client and their family to help inform cases involving extreme hardship, asylum, U-Visa, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), medical waivers, fear of persecution, and others.

Medication Management

Postdoctoral Master in Clinical Psychopharmacology: Works collaboratively with other health care professionals who prescribe medication. Integrates medication management in the treatment of mental and behavioral disorders. 

Addictions

Certified Addictions Counselor: Counsel clients in the recovery process. Topics and skills include assessment, treatment planning, individual counseling, crisis intervention, client education, and community resources.
